Both aluminum and PVC are used for household gutters. While both are susceptible to clogging when not cleaned, aluminum will start to oxidize over time. If not taken care of in due time, black mildew streaks on your gutters begin to oxidize and permanently stain your gutters, fascia, and trim. We use specialized chemicals for gutter cleaning to remove mold, mildew, and polish-stained exterior gutters, fascia, and trim.

Why Maintain your Gutters?

It is very important to regularly get your gutters cleaned. Depending on the foliage around your property, gutters can quickly become packed with debris. Leaving debris in your gutters blocks the flow of water creating a pool in the gutters. Once temperatures start to drop, the water and debris freezes in the gutters weighing them down, creating sags.

This ultimately results in costly maintenance and even the replacement of gutters. When we clean your gutters, we will remove the debris, unclog the downspouts, and perform a water test to see exactly where there may be sags. We will also brighten the outside of the gutters to get rid of organic growth and polish them. We do not do any repairs or installation.

When to Clean your Gutters

Depending on the foliage around your property, you may want to get your gutters cleaned once a year or even twice. We recommend you get them cleaned once most of the leaves have fallen off the trees in the fall but before temperatures freeze. If they seem to fill up quickly, we recommend cleaning them again in the spring.

We also recommend you get your gutters cleaned periodically even if they have guards or foam. While guards may help keep some foliage out, you would be amazed at how much debris can get in there, especially if you have pine trees around your property. Since gutters should be regularly maintained, we offer a continued maintenance schedule and we will reach out to you when the season comes so you don’t have to keep track.

You don’t have to worry about cleaning anything up. We also make sure to thoroughly rinse any dirt that may get on the exterior of the gutters, leaving them bright and white.
